The AI that understands construction,
grounded in your company's knowledge

We organize the project documents your company runs on. Plans, specs, RFIs, submittals, invoices, brought into one place. Then Vest answers from all of it. Use it in the trailer or in the field.

Your documents stay private to your company, and they are never used to train any model.

How Vest works

Processed once. Answered in seconds.

Vest does the heavy reading up front, which is what makes complex questions across projects and documents answerable at all.

01Connect or upload

Upload your files today. Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud connectors come online with pilot partners, and SharePoint, Box and Dropbox come after that.

02Every page gets processed

Sheets, specs, tables and callouts are read page by page and indexed.

03The set gets linked

Callouts point to their details, and specs tie to sheets. Addenda and RFI answers mark what they supersede.

04Every project, one map

Processing covers all your projects, so one question can reach any of them.

05You ask it anything

Ask from the office or from the field. Vest searches the processed map instead of a pile of PDFs.

06Cited answer, fast

Simple lookups take seconds, and answers compiled across many documents take tens of seconds, always with the exact page highlighted.

Why a chatbot can't do this

A chatbot starts from zero on every question, and a single project runs thousands of pages across drawings, specs and addenda. Vest processes everything ahead of time, so answers stay cited and fast across your whole company.

What Vest does

Ask Vest anything about your projects.

Like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude, but it answers from your own plans, specs, and submittals and shows you the exact page it came from.

Every project, one answer away

Ask about any job, current or closed: which spec section governed the curtain wall, what the change order said, or where the RFI settled it.

Catches the documents disagreeing

Vest checks the drawings against the specs, and the submittals against both. When they disagree, it flags the conflict, shows each source, and drafts the RFI to settle it before the field builds it.

Keeps everyone on the current sheet

Vest knows what every addendum, revision and RFI answer changed, and warns you before anyone builds from an out-of-date sheet. Architects don't always redraw after an RFI response, but Vest remembers the change anyway.

Drafts the paperwork you owe

Vest compiles door and hardware schedules, RFIs, change summaries, and emails from your documents, with every source cited. Ready for you to send.

Setup

We do the hard part for you.

Vest is only as good as the data behind it, and in construction that data is scattered across drives, inboxes, the trailer, paper, and a dozen apps. Most teams don't have time to pull it all together, so we do it for you.

If your data is scattered everywhere

We come to you, find every place your data lives, and put it in order. Then we set up your team so new files keep flowing in. You do not need a tech person on staff.

If you are already on Procore or Autodesk

Setup is even easier. Upload your files today, and the Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud connectors come online with pilot partners. Nothing migrates, and you keep working in those platforms.

Either way, you end up with every document in one place and an AI that answers from it.
Trust & security

Every answer comes with the receipt.

Vest never asks you to take its word. Every answer points straight to the source in your own files, the exact page, highlighted and ready to check. And when your documents cannot support an answer, Vest tells you so instead of guessing.

Your own data vaultYour company's data lives in its own separate database, protected by row-level security, so the database itself checks who is asking before it returns anything. Your team sees it, and no other customer ever does.
Never trains anyone's modelsYour documents are never used to train AI models. Not ours, not anyone's.
Sees only what you canAccess is enforced by the server, per project. If you can't open it, Vest can't search it or cite it.
Access you controlPeople see only the projects they're added to, and removing someone takes effect immediately.
Who sees what: access is per project today, and finer controls for sensitive folders like contracts and financials arrive with pilot partners.
Will it make things up?

Any AI can, which is why every answer opens the exact page it came from, highlighted, so you can check it in seconds. When the documents cannot support an answer, Vest says so. Instead of quoting an accuracy percentage, Vest shows you the page, or tells you it can't.

Is our data used to train AI models?

No. Your documents are never used to train any model.

We already use Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud. Why add Vest?

Keep them. Vest works alongside them. Platform assistants answer only inside their own platform. Vest reads the whole set together, drawings through RFIs, and opens the page that proves the answer.

How long does setup take?

Days, not months. We run the document processing for you, so your team just signs in and starts asking questions.

What does the field need to learn?

Nothing. Anyone who can send a text can ask Vest a question from a phone.

Can we use this on U.S. government, federal or military projects?

Not yet. Documents from government and military projects carry legal requirements we have not built the protections for, so they stay out of Vest for now. We scope that work with pilot partners who need it. If that's your work, tell us on the pilot form and we'll tell you honestly what it would take.

We're on the design side, not a GC. Is Vest for us?

Vest is built for contractors first, but the same engine works in reverse: catch the conflicts before the set goes out, and answer the contractor's RFIs before they ask them. If that's you, write to hello@vest.build.

What does leadership get out of it?

A live view of what your teams are asking: which topics come up most, where new hires need backup, and what the documents could not answer. Use it to target training and onboarding, and to fix document gaps before they cost you. It is on the Insights screen in the demo above.

Pilot program

See Vest on your own projects.

We onboard a small number of GC pilot partners at a time. We gather and organize your data, set up your projects, and work directly with your team from day one.

Get Vest

Tavana grew up working construction with his dad, and worked in the laborers' union while earning his Computer Engineering degree. He's watched good crews lose whole days chasing answers that are already written down somewhere.

After graduating he joined Apple, where Daniel became his mentor and is now his co-founder. Both went on to build startups in AI, computer vision and machine learning. When they asked architects, project managers, superintendents and foremen what construction was missing, the same answer kept coming back: construction intelligence. That's what Vest is.

Why we call it Vest

A vest is a piece of gear you'll find on every jobsite. You put it on to do the work, every day. And to vest someone is to trust them with something that matters. That is what we're building: the tool your team puts on every working day, vesting everyone on the job with your company's full knowledge.
