Vest is currently offered through a pilot program. These are the terms pilots run on, in plain language. Each pilot is also covered by a signed agreement between us and your company.

Uploading or syncing documents to Vest gives us permission to process them only to run the service for you and to investigate a problem you report. It does not transfer ownership, and it does not give us the right to use them for anything else, including training AI models.
Vest is for the project documents your company runs on, such as plans, specs, RFIs, submittals and invoices. Only upload documents your company has the right to share with a vendor. Documents from government, federal and military projects, and security-restricted documents such as airport or utility security plans, stay out of Vest for now, and the pilot agreement says so.
Each person on your team gets their own account, for use in your company's work. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
Pilot agreements include confidentiality terms covering your documents and project information. We treat bid numbers, means and methods, and project details as confidential by default.
Vest cites its sources so answers can be verified in seconds, and it abstains when the documents cannot support an answer. It is an assistant, not a substitute for reading the contract documents. Construction decisions remain your team's responsibility, which is why every answer opens the page it came from.
Vest is a pilot product, so features change. We tell pilot partners before removing something they rely on. The signed pilot agreement sets what a pilot costs and any commitment on uptime, support and liability.
Either side can end a pilot. When you leave, your data is deleted on request: your documents, your database and stored files are removed from live systems right away, with copies in database backups expiring within 7 days and stored file versions expiring within 30 days. Records of questions and answers kept for quality review are deleted with them. Security audit logs, which hold no document content, are kept for 400 days. The schedules, exports and other work products Vest generated for you remain yours.
