Plain-language summary ยท Updated July 2026

Vest works with the most sensitive documents a contractor has. This page says, in plain language, what we do and do not do with them.

Your documents

Documents you upload or sync stay in your own isolated vault: separate storage and a separate database per customer. They are used for one purpose, answering your team's questions, and nothing is pooled across customers.

No training on your data

We hold written no-training terms with every AI provider we use. Your documents, questions and answers are not used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.

Access

Your team signs in with your company's own sign-in (SSO with MFA). Remove someone from your directory and their Vest access ends with it. Every question, answer and cited source is kept in an append-only audit log your admins can review.

Deletion

Your documents are yours. If you stop using Vest, your vault is deleted on request, and anything Vest compiled for you, like schedules and exports, stays with you.

This website

The pilot request form collects only what you type into it: your name, company, email, and anything you choose to add. We use it to respond to you and for nothing else. This site does not run advertising trackers.

Questions

Write to hello@vest.build and a founder will answer.

This is a plain-language summary for pilot conversations, not the final legal policy. The full privacy policy will be posted here before general availability. If you need specific commitments for a security review in the meantime, email us and we will put them in writing.
